Between 2018 - 2020, Adam Grabowski worked sporadically with Attack Bear Press’s “Poetry on Demand” series, improvising poems on a borrowed typewriter and handing them back to the curious passerby. What emerged from these sessions took everyone by surprise—poems of remarkable depth and nervous wit. Each piece improvisatory in tone, but fully realized. Searching and oddly romantic, Go on Bewilderment collects some of the best poems from the “Poetry on Demand” sessions into a new chapbook from Attack Bear Press. Composed in public, under a self-imposed five minute deadline and in dialogue with a single word prompt (“Robinhood,” “celestial,” “gently”), nothing in Go on Bewilderment has been revised. Each poem has been reprinted based on carbon copies of the original.
