The No-No Project Submission Form
The No-No Project, whose name is inspired by one of Steven Jesse Bernstein’s poems, follows the legacy of his work with Subpop recordings. Poets are invited to submit a poem for consideration. If chosen, we will ask you to record a reading of your work, or if possible, come and record at the home studios of Union St. Records in Easthampton, MA. The artists at Union St. Records, with the permission of the poet, will use the recordings to create musical soundscapes of their own. The resulting piece will be featured weekly here on the No-No Project Web-page and social media platforms. The piece also may be included in a CD album release.
For more information about The No-No Project, please visit the project page here.
We are currently accepting letters of inquiry from poets and spoken word artists for The No-No Project Volume 2. Please also include a link to a video or audio recording of yourself reading original work. If you cannot or do not feel comfortable submitting an audio or video recording, please inform us of your intent to read in the Western Massachusetts area so that we can attend. Letters of inquiry should also include your CV, a brief bio, and links to any media you wish to share.
